JOB OPENING: We’re on the lookout for a new travel journalist!

Red sign hanging at the glass door of a shop saying:

Do you live and breathe travel and happen to be handy with a pen? We’ve got good news for you.

Yes, you read the headline right, our sister publication Travel Weekly is on the hunt for a travel journalist to join the dream team.

Don’t grab your sunscreen, selfie stick and cozy just yet though, there’s actually proper journalism involved.

Travel Weekly, Australia’s leading travel industry publication, is seeking a journalist to work on its busy news desk. Yes, overseas trips (once we’re allowed) do crop up but the vast majority of the time you will be producing meaningful news and features for our website and daily newsletter.

Travel Weekly’s 2019 Travel Awards

This is a pure journalism role but there will, on occasions, be the need to produce some content marketing pieces in conjunction with brands as well as longer-form features.

While writing great content will be the key element of success in your role, you will also need to represent the Travel Weekly brand at industry events, forge deep industry relationships and impress clients with your editorial prowess and charm.

Keen to apply?

Send your resume and cover letter (please incorporate the word ‘margarine’ somewhere within the two opening paragraphs to prove you’re read this ad) to dan@themisfits.media.
