Le Petit Chef arrives in Sydney

The smallest chef in the world, Le Petit Chef, a globally renowned unique dinner theatre, has finally arrived in Sydney to make gourmet hearts beat faster.

At the Blackburn Restaurant at InterContinental Sydney Double Bay, visitors can expect sophisticated 3D cinema combined with excellent gastronomy.

Every guest can look forward to a show right on their own plate. Between courses, the table is subtly transformed into a screen, where the little chef entertains with various performances. However, his attempts to prepare culinary masterpieces almost always end in disaster. Luckily, the skilled kitchen crew works behind the scenes to help the little chef deliver his specialties to the table.

When the food is served, the show moves into the background, setting the stage for an array of regional and international delicacies.

“With great pleasure, we are now also able to open a location with InterContinental Sydney Double Bay,” 2Spicy Entertainment GmbH managing director, Christian Bagaric, said. “The opening is a great expansion for us, and we are happy to be able to entertain guests with an unforgettable theatre and gourmet experience together with the team on site.”

Behind the mesmerizing animations lies the talented Belgian artist collective, Skullmapping, founded in 2010 by Filip Sterckx and Antoon Verbeeck. Using 3D mapping technology and profound artistic know-how, the 58mm small chef was brought to life in 2015.

The experience offers a preselected menu with a variety of mouthwatering dishes. The options include Caprese Salad, Bouillabaisse, Wagyu Topside, and a Coffee Creme Brulee. With three menu variants available, Classic, Vegetarian, and Kids’ menu, every palate is accounted for, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all guests.

Starting 21 January, Le Petit Chef runs Tuesday through Thursday at 7.30pm and Fridays and Saturdays at 5.30pm and 8.30pm.
