Melbourne & Olympic Parks (M&OP) has announced the appointment of Laura Reddaway as its new conference and events sales manager for Centrepiece at Melbourne Park.

With over a decade of experience as an event specialist across international trade shows and venues, Reddaway will oversee bookings for Melbourne’s newest venue as anticipation builds for the official opening next year.

Reddaway’s experience includes positions with AIME and ICMSA where she worked on some of the largest international conferences in Australia, including the World Congress on Public Health and the World Park Congress.

Lara Burnes, general manager of premier events and experiences at M&OP, said: “Laura’s invaluable talent will help our team deliver marvellous moments and epic events for our clients and, ultimately, begin to reinvigorate our beautiful city’s events culture.

“We cannot wait to showcase to Melburnians, Australians and the world just how special our new venue will be when it opens in 2021.”

Commenting on her appointment, Reddaway said: “I am delighted to be joining a team at the heart of Melbourne’s sporting and entertainment culture and to represent one of most versatile and exciting new venues in Australia as we prepare to open our doors.

“Centrepiece at Melbourne Park is unique, embracing everything that Melbourne is iconic for and standing proudly in our prime entertainment precinct.

“Our new facilities promise to be some of the most exciting in the world – I’m thrilled to help our clients bring a whole new calibre of experiences to life.”
