An “unprecedented” promotion for the Australian MICE industry has been announced by New Caledonia Tourism.

Every 20th person in a meeting, conference or incentive delegation will travel free of charge for events booked in New Caledonia before 30 September 2020 and held prior to 31 December 2021.

Under the promotion, every 20th person and subsequent 20th person attending a meeting, conference or incentive held in New Caledonia during the promotion dates will receive a whole host of benefits free of charge.

These include return flights, accommodation, day delegate packages, daily breakfast, and airport transfers.

Jackie Caldwell, regional MICE business development manager for New Caledonia Tourism, said: “Increasing numbers of event planners and organisers are waking up to this, and we are pleased to report continuous growth in the MICE segment over the past 10 years.

“Promotions like this are our way of saying we are ready to welcome even more planners and events over the coming two years.”

Several of the destination’s top hotels and DMCs are getting involved in the promotion to show their support.

These include New Caledonia’s national airline, Aircalin; luxe hotels Chateau Royal Beach Resort & Spa, Le Meridien Noumea Resort & Spa and Sheraton New Caledonia Deva Spa & Golf Resort; and DMCs Newcal Events and Pop Events.
