NSW awarded hosting rights for three Amway gatherings

New South Wales has secured hosting rights to three of Amway’s large-scale Asia-Pacific gatherings for 2020 and 2021.

The Amway Malaysia, Japan and Korea business win will see around 6,500 of Amway’s top-selling APAC distributors visit Sydney and regional NSW for five days each.

The company’s Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei Leadership Seminar and Japan Leadership Achievement Seminar will both occur in December 2020, while the Amway Korea Leadership Seminar will be hosted in November 2021.

Stuart Ayres, New South Wales’ (NSW) Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney, said the win involved a “whole-of Sydney approach” with BESydney to showcase Sydney.

“These three meetings are expected to grow the NSW economy by $36 million as Amway delegates get out and about in Sydney and surrounding regions on itineraries tailored to their unique cultural and business interests,” he said.

“Over the past decade, Sydney has welcomed almost 20,000 Amway representatives from their various regional hubs. Amway China alone has returned to Sydney three times to incentivise their independent business owner network.”

BESydney CEO Lyn Lewis-Smith said the organisation’s presence across Asia had built a strong reputation, based on its market expertise and knowledge.

“Our NSW industry partners understand the market and work with us to tailor new experiences for incentive delegates each and every time they visit, generating business outcomes for our clients in the process,” she said.
