Refurbed Adelaide Qantas Club opens doors to upgraded features

Qantas opened the doors to its upgraded Adelaide Qantas Club today, just in time for the busy holiday period to provide customers travelling through the city of churches with an improved experience.

The contemporary space has been designed to celebrate the beauty of the South Australian landscape and features customised furniture by local designers Agostino & Brown and fittings by the Jam Factory.

For customers wanting to get ahead of emails before their flight, the national carrier has fitted more than 80 per cent of the seats that will be available within the new Qantas Club with USB A and C chargers as well as wireless charging mats fixed to the terrazzo coffee tables throughout the lounge.

Premium wine and beer including South Australian favourites such as Coopers and Penfolds will be on offer for customers to sip at the new sandstone central bar, which is a key feature of the space.

A full seasonal buffet menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner is available for customers wanting to enjoy a meal before their flight alongside barista coffee and light refreshments.

“Adelaide is a key part of our network and we’re opening the Qantas Club ahead of the busy summer travel period so that our customers can start their holiday with an upgraded travel experience,” Qantas chief customer and digital officer, Catriona Larritt, said.

“All of the elements within the space have been carefully designed with what our customers have told us they want most.

“In response we’ve added more charging outlets for business customers and a variety of lounge spaces for leisure travellers to relax ahead of their flight. This is all part of our continued investment to improve the customer experience right across our network.”

The Adelaide lounge precinct redevelopment is part of Qantas’ $100 million global lounge upgrade program.

The next phase of the precinct’s construction includes the installation of additional seating space within the new Qantas Club and the brand-new Business Lounge which is expected to open mid next year.
