Saxton goes global, launches influencing arm and rebrands

Saxton Speakers Bureau has announced its expansion into the US, as well as a new influencing business, new branding and new website.

Following her recent international trip to the US to lay the groundwork for the expansion and to represent Saxton at the International Association of Speaker Bureau (IASB), Saxton CEO Anne Jamieson announced the launch of Saxton Global.

Courtney Timm has been appointed Saxton Global’s first international representative in the US. She will be responsible for providing international connections for Australian talent to connect with international locations, clients and audiences.

Saxton’s US office will open on 1 July 2019.

Jamieson said: “The next two to three years for Saxton is all about growth, and for us to achieve this, we need to look at new opportunities and reach into new markets on a global scale with new offices opening in the USA.

“We are building on the last 50 years of history and are evolving to ensure we remain relevant and to provide a refreshed brand aligned to our customers’ needs.”

Expanding beyond the traditional speakers’ bureau, Saxton has also purchased and rebranded an influencer marketing agency, Saxton Engage.

The agency will help Saxton match exclusive speakers to opportunities beyond speaking, and is headed by Karan White, who joined Saxton in early 2019.

Jamieson said: “Purchasing an influencing company means we can create powerful partnerships between our talent and clients to position Saxton Engage as a market leader in this space.”

Furthermore, Saxton has unveiled a new website sporting its new vibrant branding. The website includes dynamic search features, allowing the event organiser to filter across multiple categories and topics.

Recent research by Saxton found that the most important objective for event organisers is for a speaker to engage an audience.

In response, Saxton has been building a library of rich content for each speaker, which will be loaded onto its website.

“At Saxton, we believe in the power of storytelling, so we developed a new website to ensure our client’s events are the very best they can be, by showcasing the very best talent in a new and bold way, making it effortless to find and book the right speaker,” Jamieson said.

“We are still doing the same thing – we just look better doing it.”
