Sydney Opera House welcomed back its Bennelong restaurant yesterday giving Australian hospitality and tourism a major shot in the arm.

The re-opening will inject life into one of Australia’s most iconic locations, according to the Tourism & Transport Forum Australia (TTF).

“The new restaurant, to be operated by the Fink Group, will also boost Australia’s reputation as a gastronomy super-power. Almost all of the produce will be sourced locally, ensuring a unique Australian cuisine experience for domestic and international visitors at a unique Australian destination.

“The new restaurant will enhance the overall visitor experience at the Sydney Opera House, adding to the already expansive food and wine offering available.”

Bennelong will give diners a range of options in their dining experience, from fine dining through to more casual meals, keeping options open to all visitors.

“It will also enable guests to have a special experience either before or after they take in a world-class performance from one of Australia’s performing arts companies, including the likes of the Australian Ballet, Sydney Theatre Company, Opera Australia or the Sydney Symphony Orchestra,” Osmond added.

“Bennelong is a truly wonderful addition to this truly iconic location.”
