Tourism Australia spills deets for Destination Australia 2022

Tourism Australia is gearing up to host its annual Destination Australia conference on Thursday 3 March 2022 at CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park.

With Australia’s tourism industry currently facing its most challenging year ever, the 2022 Destination Australia conference will inspire the industry to rebuild bigger and better, with high profile speakers discussing lessons learnt, sharing future-focused trends and highlighting emerging opportunities.

With Dave Hughes on hand as a guide, attendees will hear from an array of experts including Dan Tehan MP, Virgin Australia boss Jayne Hrdlicka, Deloitte’s Adele Labine-Romain, Ogilvy’s Rory Sutherland, Phillipa Harrison and Lucy Bloom as MC.

Content experts will also take part in two panels – one on what the future traveller is looking for, and one on how to embark on an indigenous tourism journey.

The conference will be a hybrid event with both in-person and online attendance options available, giving the perfect chance for all of us as an industry to showcase that business events can go ahead in uncertain times.Following the conference, Tourism Australia will be hosting an industry networking event at one of Australia’s most iconic sporting stadiums, the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
