Australian tech startup Alienta Travel Systems hosted a VIP breakfast at the CAPA-ACTE Global Summit in Sydney on Tuesday 4th December attended by procurement managers from government bodies, universities and large corporations.
A presentation by Alienta’s CEO introduced the new online booking tool for corporate travel, which has been described as “game-changing.”
“We’ve expanded on key functionalities of corporate online booking tools and vastly improved them within our own powerful technology platform”, said Alex Snead, CEO of Alienta Travel Systems.
Alienta was developed to bridge the gap between the varied requirements of corporate entities and what is available through current products in the market.
“Other corporate booking tools in the market have plateaued in respect of user adoption due to numerous product limitations. The control over travel spend and reduction in agent-assisted booking fees that procurement managers require is just not attainable using older systems,” Snead said.
“Alienta is focused on achieving near 100% online booking adoption by bringing together rich and customisable content from suppliers, flexible travel and procurement policies to meet real corporate needs, and seamless ease of use for arrangers and travellers,” Snead explained.
Snead reported that since its April 2018 launch, over 40 corporates have moved to the Alienta system and have consistently seen online booking rates reach over 95%, compared to as low as 50% or 60% on legacy systems.
Snead presented on some of Alienta’s capabilities including:
- An elegant and intuitive interface that even inexperienced users can easily navigate
- Superior capabilities like unlimited layers of travel policy, customised GDS flight searches, GDS bypass and provider-agnosticism
- User-empowering tools, allowing users to book as many as 18 international legs within a single itinerary, combining airlines, coaches, trains and ferries, in addition to hotels and cars
- Global integration, with the power to seamlessly connect with offices all over the world, communicating in multiple languages and transacting in any currency.
In comparison to other products on the market, Snead said “customisations can generally be delivered in weeks, rather months or years.”
Alienta was recently nominated a finalist for the inaugural Australian Travel Awards in two categories: Innovation of the Year and Technology Provider of the Year.
Alienta is currently available exclusively through members of CT Partners within Australia, but can also be obtained by a corporate entity entering into a direct agreement with Alienta, should the corporate entity be unable to utilise the services of a CT Partner member.
Alienta has also commenced marketing its services and products globally.
