MEETINGS & EVENTS AUSTRALIA HAS A NEW BOARD

Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) announced the new Board yesterday at its Annual General Meeting at the Raddison Blu Plaza Hotel in Sydney.

The new Board is as follows:
Chair: Anne Jamieson, Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre
Vice Chair: Ian Whitworth, Scene Change
Treasurer: Susan Ryman-Kiernan, Wise Connections
Directors: Kate Smith, Waldron Smith Management
Alana Hay, Milestone Creative Pty Limited

As the new Chair of the board, Anne Jamieson said, “I am very privileged to be representing the meetings and events industry and I look forward to working with the new board and the membership in reenergising MEA. There is a lot to do and we have a very good team in place to reinvigorate and grow the organisation.

Recently appointed CEO, Robyn Johnson, pointed to the critical role that MEA has played over the past 40 years. Robyn stressed the importance of a vigorous industry organisation to work on behalf of the MEA members.

“Together with the new board, I am keen to understand the issues that our members
see as a priority for 2017 and beyond”.
