ASIA DMC appoints Boutique Tourism reps

ASIA DMC has identified Australia as a market ripe for aggressive development by hiring renowned travel industry specialist Lindy Andrews (pictured) to head its new office in Sydney.

Andrews is charged with positioning ASIA DMC in Australia as an extremely accomplished supplier of high-end leisure, tailor-made journeys focused on experiential travel, intercultural exchange with local communities, and corporate travel experiences into Southeast Asia.

Formerly known as HG Travel, a trusted mainstream brand of 20 years standing, the company was rebranded last year as ASIA DMC, appointing Linh Le to the role of Group Managing Director to expand operational scope and expand the tailor-made market.

“Lindy needs little introduction in Australia,” said Linh Le.

“She has an extraordinary travel industry track record courtesy of a deep understanding of the business and a drive that is second to none. We are delighted to have Lindy on board.”

Andrews’ reputation as an innovative achiever was recognised by a nomination for Telstra’s Business Woman of the Year. Her tourism industry experience covers MICE, high-end leisure, airlines, destinations and hotels.

She heads Boutique Tourism Collection which is the representative office of ASIA DMC.

“When I heard that Linh was heading up ASIA DMC, I jumped at the chance to work with him again,” said Andrews.

“He is highly respected in Australia and brings a refreshing new attitude to the business.  I look forward to building on ASIA DMC’s 20 years of heritage and developing new business channels for their programmes.”

Andrews specialises in working with the MICE, high-end leisure and wholesalers that can connect travellers with a deep sense of culture and environment.

“Aussies are very culturally aware and take their social and global responsibilities seriously when travelling. So HG Foundation and its commitment to sustainability is a big draw. So too is nature so trekking in northern Vietnam for example or the smaller more tailor-made experiences in Halong Bay will be well received.”

The new team in Australia will roll out ASIA DMC’s new “Spirit of Travel” concept in the market – a collection of unique touring suited to families, couples, private journeys and small groups that focus on personalised, experience-rich content.
