Darling Harbour gets $11m upgrade

A new $11 million state-of-the-art venue will be added to Sydney’s Darling Harbour precinct by September 2015.

The Warships Pavillion will be added to the Australian National Maritime Museum and will feature three function spaces, including an outdoor rooftop to the waterfront venue.

Developed to mark the centenary of World War I and commemorate over 100 years of service by the Royal Australian Navy, the Warships Pavilion will cater to corporate events, cocktail functions, product activations or weddings and ceremonies.

“The construction of the Pavilion is a key first step in the realisation of the museum’s master plan for the future and shows how quickly we are evolving alongside our neighbours in Darling Harbour,” Australian National Maritime Museum director commercial & visitors services, Deanna Varga said.

Early bird bookings for the Warships Pavilion are now open.
