Destination Food 2022 to be hosted virtually

Australia’s Destination Food conference is going online this year, bringing together industry leaders and colleagues to tackle the changing face of foodie tourism.

With the continued uncertainty posed by COVID-19, Destination Food host its full program live online in 2022, creating a space to network, share ideas and be inspired to take marketing and development of culinary experiences to the next level.

Delegates will hear from a variety of leading voices in the food tourism space, including Joost Bakker (Future Food System, Silo by Joost), Dianne Dredge (The Tourism CoLab) and Susannah George (Urban List).

Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet up in the virtual lounge, chat with other delegates via video calls and be part of Destination Food’s lively cocktail hour.

A Bundaberg Tasting Box, valued at more than $80, a showcase of the Bundaberg region’s deliciousness and enterprise, will be delivered to Australian delegates so that they can enjoy the taste of our event host.

Created by Holly Galbraith, one of Australia’s foremost tourism, food and agri-tourism marketing experts, the conference will address the hospitality industry’s need to adapt, embrace flexibility, juggle competing priorities and learn how to leverage the knock-on effects of the global pandemic.

Destination Food is for anyone currently working in, or wanting to move into, the food tourism space, including tourism destination CEOs/board members/key staff, destination marketers, food and wine tourism operators, tourism and food PR professionals, food writers and content creators, food event managers and marketers and hotel marketers.

The conference will take place on Wednesday 23 February 2022 from 11am AEDT (10am QLD time) online with support from the host destination Bundaberg, QLD.
