It’s a Big Fat Airline Wrap
For corporates and business travellers, keeping afloat of all the latest aviation news is a major part of your job.
But instead of sifting through all those emails early on in the week, we thought we’d do it for you.
Here’s all the essential info from the aviation industry.
The Residence, only better
Etihad Airways has teamed up with leading global concierge service provider, Ten Group, to serve the unique needs of guests in The Residence – the luxurious, private three-room suite exclusively on board the airline’s Airbus A380 fleet.
Ten Group will provide a specially trained Etihad Lifestyle Concierge team who will work closely with the airline’s London Savoy-trained Butlers.
Utilising intelligent systems, global support and unmatched supplier relationships, the Etihad Lifestyle Concierge team will deliver a personalised and discreet experience, providing access to a range of services including dining reservations, entertainment bookings, special events, destination information and lifestyle services onboard the flight.
EVA Air turns to Amadeus
EVA Air, recently ranked one of the World’s Top 10 Airlines in 2015, has become the first Asian airline to adopt the Amadeus Altéa Revenue Management Suite. This move is laying the foundation for EVA to intelligently price airline packages and offers.
Amadeus’ unique revenue management solution draws on real time data from multiple sources, including the Amadeus Altéa Suite, to provide intuitive recommendations on the best pricing of airline offers.
The Suite is designed to help airlines gain competitive advantage from new merchandising practices such as dynamic pricing, fare families and ancillary service sales.
Bangkok and Air Astana team up

As of August 17, Air Astana customers can book these codeshare services at Air Astana’s ticket office and vice versa.
Meanwhile, Air Astana is relaunching services between Astana and Dubai on 25th October 2015 . The non-stop flight will be operated four times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays using an Airbus A320.
Finnair adds new routes, more services
Finnair is opening four new routes to Edinburgh, Billund, Pula and Svalbard during Europe’s 2016 Summer months. Finnair will start flying to Edinburgh from 18 April to 27 October 2016. Flights to Billund in Jutland, Denmark, will become a year round destination from 4 April 2016.
Finnair currently serves Copenhagen five times per day. With the Billund service Finnair will also provide people in Western Denmark with convenient connections to Finland and Asia.
Finnair will continue to increase its Croatia service with two weekly flights between Helsinki and Pula, from 20 June to 12 August 2016. Finnair will be the first airline to offer scheduled international services to Svalbard, the Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean. From 1 June to 27 August 2016 there will be three weekly flights from Helsinki to the northernmost airport in the world.
In summer 2016, new scheduled flights will replace previously chartered flights to the Greek islands of Zakynthos, Skiathos, Santorini, Mytilene and Preveza. The same will apply to Rimini and Verona in Italy and to Varna in Bulgaria.
Finnair will also increase the number of flights to the popular summer destinations of Malta, Tel Aviv in Israel and to Biarritz and Nice in France.

Under the agreement, Etihad Airways places its EY flight code on Belavia’s daily services between Minsk and Kiev.
