Magellan Conference heads to New Zealand

The Magellan Travel Group’s first ever offshore Conference will be held in New Zealand at The Hilton Auckland from Wednesday 14 to Friday 16 September.

More than 200 Agents and Suppliers will head to Auckland, something CEO Andrew Macfarlane said they were “excited about”.

“It’s been a good year for us,” Macfarlane said, “and to have recorded our 8th consecutive year of profit growth in challenging market conditions which is testament to the quality of our Members”

The Pre-Conference fun begins with The Magellan Master’s Golf Day to be held at The Grange Golf Club, sponsored by Royal Caribbean International.

Meanwhile, the first business events get underway on Wednesday afternoon with GMs and Owner Operators of Magellan Agencies gathering for their own networking and information sharing sessions, sponsored by Malaysia Airlines.

“Our Members face common challenges and opportunities”, Macfarlane said. “These networking sessions provide them with a forum for them to discuss the different solutions they apply in their own Agencies and, ultimately, share best practice”

“Nothing better illustrates the culture of the Group than the collaboration amongst Members at Conference” Macfarlane said.
