Nicole Walker scores CEO role at Arinex

After six years at the company, Nicole Walker has been promoted to the lead role at Arinex.

Beginning with the professional conference organiser in 2014 as a project manager in its conferencing business unit, Walker (pictured above) has held several positions at Arinex, including within the management team over the past four years.

Announcing Walker’s promotion to chief executive earlier this month, Arinex founder and chair Roslyn McLeod said it had been 40 years since the company had such a young CEO who was also enthusiastic and wanted to create a journey of terrific successes.

“I believe Arinex is now blessed with a far greater talent showing the same determination to succeed,” McLeod said.

“I look forward to observing Nicole build an even more outstanding group of colleagues, resources and innovative outcomes both within Australia and globally.”

Appointed in unique and outstanding circumstances, Walker said she would use the COVID-19 pandemic as an opportunity to share the company’s expertise developed over the past 50 years.

“I am delighted and humbled to receive this appointment, and whilst commencing the role during an unprecedented time for the industry – in fact, the entire world – I am determined to demonstrate our vision,” she said.

“The Arinex team have identified new opportunities … for success in the ‘new normal’.”

Earlier this month, Arinex held an online webinar for clients and provided solutions to current issues with events using streaming technology.

A panel of four experts from industries, including infectious disease research, finance and insurance, and event operations allowed Arinex clients to gain a comprehensive understanding of COVID-19 and the broad impact of this crisis globally.

The company has been incorporating this into events for many years, with its first live-streamed event occurring in 2003 during the International Viral Hepatitis Symposium.
