Qantas bolsters benefits for business rewards members

Qantas Business Rewards is overhauling flying benefits to provide additional rewards and recognition for Australian businesses as they return to the skies, following two years of COVID travel restrictions.

From Tuesday, benefits have been upgraded to include bigger savings on flight bookings across more fare types, up to 30 per cent off
Qantas Club membership and a Gold tier accelerator offer.

Businesses will now need fewer points to move through membership levels and unlock rewards, and, for the first time, individual rewards will be rolled out for team members when flying.

Business employees who book through the program will earn points for the business and 250 bonus Qantas Points for themselves on every booking, in addition to the points and Status Credits they earn as a Frequent Flyer.

The improved flying benefits in the program complement other recognition and rewards that businesses will continue to enjoy including earning Qantas Points on everyday business expenses such as flights, hotels, car hire, fuel, insurance, technology and credit card spend.

Businesses can then use their Qantas Points to reinvest back into their business to directly redeem on flights from their Qantas Business Rewards account or transfer points to any Frequent Flyer account to reward their team or themselves.

“Small and medium-sized businesses are back flying at greater than 80 per cent of pre-COVID levels, which shows they are keen to reconnect with their teams, customers and clients and make up for lost time,” Andrew David Qantas’ CEO for domestic and international said.

“We’re providing businesses with more flying benefits, including bigger savings on flights and introducing a Flyer Bonus to reward individual employees and the business when they fly with us.

“We’ve also reduced the number of points needed to progress through each membership level so that businesses will unlock rewards faster.

“We know that businesses and their employees who fly regularly will appreciate these additional benefits and it provides another reason to fly Qantas on top of our extensive network, complimentary food and drinks, fast Wi-Fi and access to a network of 35 lounges around Australia.”
