Snake joins moshpit causing disruption to Adelaide music festival

Adelaide’s Under The Southern Stars music festival was interrupted by a groove-loving snake who just wanted to shake its tail.

The slithery little thing made its appearance in the crowd during a set by The Superjesus.

Consequence reported that the band’s performance came to a halt when the snake rocked up.

Lead singer Sarah McLeod described the “comical” incident on the band’s Facebook page.

“The weirdest part of our gig today was that there was a snake in the audience,” she wrote.

“The security were all standing around it in a circle to make sure it didn’t hurt anyone while we all waited for the snake handler to come. We were told to hold the show until the snake was gone.”

The scaly little bad boy knew its free admission to the festival was soon to end and snuck off into a hole in the ground where it couldn’t be caught by the snake handler.

“The snake handler proceeded to try and look for it EVERYWHERE.. it was comical to watch … in the end we said fuck it let’s start the show and no one mentioned it again,” McLeod recalled in her Facebook post.

“God knows where it ended up but I think the sound of [Stuart Rudd] on the bass would’ve sent that thing to a galaxy far far away.”

To our knowledge, no 0ther performances at the festival, including from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Stone Temple Pilots, and Bush, were surprised by a random snake in the moshpit.
