Superyacht-style venue coming to Sydney Harbour
Sydney Harbour will be gaining a new superyacht-styled harbour dining and bar experience just in time for this summer.
Set to hit the harbour city for a new year launch, each level of this $15-million-dollar luxurious vessel has been designed for Sydney, with a versatile events deck, sophisticated restaurant and stunning cocktail bar on the top deck all offering guests the very best viewing position of Sydney’s spectacular Harbour.
Nick Lester, general manager of the new The Jackson brand and vessel said: “Everyone knows that Sydney looks its very best from the water so we were inspired to bring a harbour dining and bar experience like no other for all Sydneysiders and visitors alike to enjoy.”
“Not everyone can afford to charter a superyacht, so we have created an accessible luxurious experience that currently doesn’t exist”.
The Jackson combines affordable high-end restaurant-style food and a rooftop bar in time to enjoy a summer outing.
With ever-changing views of the world’s most magnificent harbour, the exclusive rooftop cocktail bar with its luxurious, yet relaxed atmosphere, is perfect for a day out with friends or for evening cocktails.
The mid-deck brings the best of Sydney’s dining scene to the Harbour, with a menu crafted by chef Tom Kime, renowned as one of Australia’s masters of sustainable seafood.
“The Jackson menu focuses on fresh, Australian seasonal produce that will take diners on a culinary journey,” Lester said.
The Jackson promises to be the ultimate destination to host events, with the exclusive use of the whole vessel having capacity to host over 500 guests cocktail style.
The Events deck offers flexibility and unspoilt floor-to-ceiling views of the harbour. With state of the art audiovisual equipment, direct access to the open front deck, this unique space can host up to 250 guests banquet style, making it perfect for weddings, gala dinners, corporate events and any large special private event.
There are also intimate private rooms with private access to the balcony – ideal for smaller corporate or events.
The space can be divided into two, with each catering for up to 30 guests cocktail style or 70 guests when the spaces are combined.
Guests can board The Jackson from four locations, with the main two pickup locations being at King Street Wharf, adjacent to the new Barangaroo Precinct or from Jetty 6 at Circular Quay.
Pickups are also available from Manly and Rose Bay upon reservation.
Lester said making The Jackson as accessible as possible was an important part of the master plan.
“The Jackson has its own dedicated luxury tender, the Jackson Flyer, which will provide a deluxe alternative to water taxis for guests to board at scheduled pick-ups from Manly and Rose Bay or disembark at a time that suits them,” he said.
The Jackson will arrive in Sydney in late December and will be available to book your table or event for the first departures in late January 2022.
Sign up to be one of the first onboard The Jackson and go in the draw to win a $500 voucher to enjoy an exclusive experience on The Jackson.
