Tasty times for events industry

The business events industry is tapping into Australia’s growing appetite for gastronomy, with former Good Food Month festival director Joanna Savill to headline the annual Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) conference.

Savill will deliver a keynote address on Australia’s “love affair” with food and food events at the event which takes place in Sydney on December 2.

EEAA chief executive Joyce DiMascio said the association was “delighted” that Savill had agreed to speak at the conference, with food events more popular than ever.

“Joanna is an international star in the food media and events world,” she said. “She will speak about the evolution of a food community – from inception to evolution, engaging audiences and industry, and creating lots of delicious content along the way.”

Other speakers confirmed for the event include retail guru Paul Greenberg who is executive chairman and chief executive of NORA.org.au, and Fiona Lake who is marketing manager of the ABC’s Triple J radio station.
