Virtual reality a reality for organisers

The first 360 degree 3D tours and floor plans for venues unveiled.

iVvy has launched Australia’s first 360 degree 3D tours and floor plans for venues at last week’s Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME).

The new tool enhances customer experience for event planners across the nation according to iVvy, and enables venues to take the next step in virtual reality through interactivity and customer engagement, effectively saving them time and money.

“The 3600 3D tool ensures less time spent in planning site visits and better resource and time allocation of staff that can now focus on delivering great experiences to incoming leads and customers,” iVvy stated.

“This feature brings planners closer to hospitality brands, but also saves the industry a significant amount of time and money in an area no one else has in the past,” said Lauren Hall,
CEO of iVVy said.
iVvy worked in partnership with 3D Scan and events agency EMG to bring the benefits of virtual tours, which has seen incredible growth in real estate industry in recent years, to hospitality and events. Venues now have the sales and marketing platform to provide the best experience to customers globally.
This innovation comes less than a year after the launch of iVvy Marketplace, the world’s first 24-hour live booking engine for the events industry allowing organisers to search, compare book and pay for function space, food and beverage and group accommodation instantly. iVvy Marketplace has over 1,000 registered venues including function spaces, conference and meeting rooms, restaurants and golf courses.

“As we expand globally, the hospitality industry can now take their offering to customers anywhere in the world. In the age of connectivity, we are giving people the ability to make decisions about venues from any location, knowing that it is just as good as if they were on-site. This is the future of events and hospitality and we are proud to be catalysts of the change,” added Lauren.

Late last year, iVvy had also announced its partnership with Dimmi the online restaurant reservation company, allowing organisers to book private dining rooms and exclusive use of restaurants.
