Bali hotel mixes up MICE offering

Sustainability initiatives are playing a major role in attracting business events to a Bali resort, along with engagements with the local community.

Sheraton Bali Kuta has committed to offering a “diverse and fresh” range of MICE packages in order to stand out from the competition.

General manager Dario Orsini described Bali as a “wonderful” MICE destination.

“We’ve enriched our package of offerings to include unique local experiences, sustainability initiatives such as high-efficiency lighting, low-flow faucets, alternatives to plastic bottled water and a variety of new enhancements to help increase productivity and make a bigger impact on our guests,” he said.

Those enhancements include a “Share Your Plate” event which will see teams create a meal using unknown ingredients in a black box which will then be shared with children from a local orphanage, a  meeting energiser fitness session, a spa massage session, after work happy hour and a range of power bars.

The hotel features nine flexible meeting spaces across 1,600 square metres of flexible meeting and event space.
