The great thing about my job is… Being able to welcome guests from all around the globe, giving them a chance to experience one of the most iconic locations in Bangkok and to make great memories of their trip to Thailand.

The challenge for our industry is… Keeping up with all the new technology and the need to re-invent ourselves again and again, to stand out from the competition.

My greatest achievement is… Moving from Australia to Asia in my mid 30s and settling into a completely new environment. 10 years later, I’m still enjoying my adventure in a foreign country, and have come to love Bangkok and its people.

The biggest thing in MICE this year will be… The ongoing impact of technology on the meeting planning and execution experience. Technology will allow hotels to continue personalising the planning process and provide tailored solutions, no matter if the meeting is for 20 people or 2.000 people.

I try to relax by… Swimming and running at Lumpini Park.  I also enjoy shopping for jewellery, Thai silk and eating street food at China Town.

My favourite venue is… Riverside Grill at Royal Orchid Sheraton with a stunning sunset river view.

I’ve always wanted to travel to… Maldives is a very fascinating country. Next on my holiday list is the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa in an overwater bungalow…that would be incredible!

I am scared to death of… Snakes.

I can’t live without… Music. It’s my therapy when I have had a hard day.

I really wish I had… 25 hours a day.

If I could invite four people to a dinner party, they’d be… Michelle Obama; Gary Vaynerchuk; Benedict Cumberbatch; Nicole Kidman.

For anyone starting out in the industry one piece of advice I’d give would be …. The secret to getting ahead is getting started.
