ICC Sydney shows off newly-rebranded theatre

International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) has officially changed the name of its premier theatre to Aware Super Theatre in line with the naming rights partner’s recent rebrand.

First State Super secured the naming rights to the 8,000-seat venue in July 2019.

An existing equity partner, the agreement increased First State Super’s investment in ICC Sydney as a result of the strong performance of the venue’s operations, brand and reputation.

This week, the fund made its rebrand to Aware Super official after announcing the transition earlier this year.

“We are delighted to unveil a new look for ICC Sydney’s world-class theatre, as it becomes officially becomes Aware Super Theatre,” ICC Sydney chief executive Geoff Donaghy said.

“This change signals the strengthening and continuation of an already successful partnership between ICC Sydney and Aware Super.

“As we all look forward to the return of more live events and entertainment in Australia, I could not think of a better partner for ICC Sydney to collaborate with to ensure all patrons enjoy exceptional experiences at the newly named Aware Super Theatre.”

ICC Sydney will continue to manage the renamed theatre through a partnership that aims to enhance the venue’s international reputation.

Located in the heart of Darling Harbour, the Aware Super Theatre has hosted an array of top global talent such as Keith Urban, Jerry Seinfeld, Ariana Grande, Kylie Minogue, Hillary Clinton, Cher and Elton John.
