New South Wales minister for tourism and major events, George Souris, at luxury trade show Luxperience's Thought Leaders event to take place at Sydney Town Hall on Sepember 1.

The event will examine the latest trends, predictions and insights in top-end travel. 

 

Accor has launched a new meeting and incentive promotion to reward planners who book a conference at one of its properties in Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia by January 31.

Double Meeting Planner points will be given to each planner that books a new conference or event combined with a minimum of 20 accommodation rooms, with them to also enter the running to win a $10,000 conferencing spree. 

 

Emirates' Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa is offering special rates for conference end event bookins until the end of the year, with planners given a chance to win return flights to Dubai with each new booking.

Under the offer, mid-week accommodation rates of $1,200, or a weekend rate of $1,400, per suite per night include accommodation in a Heritage suite for two, three daily meals, all non-alcoholic beverages, a range of local wines and beets along with conference space and catering for the group.

Australian environmental and sustainable forum event, EcoXpo, will return to Sydney for the fourth year, with its organisers reporting a growing number of Australians are adopting sustainable living practices.

“We started with 20 exhibitors in 2010, and today EcoXpo has more than tripled in size,” Aymeric Maudous, the event’s founder, said. “Our exhibitors come from all sorts of industries including travel and tourism, FMCG, construction, NGOs and many more.

The event will be held from September 20 to 22 at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse in Sydney.

 

Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre will welcome more than 5,000 delegates from over 16 countries including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Australia as it hosts the International Dragon Award (IDA) 2013 from the 15-18 August this year.

The ceremony and annual meeting will have the theme “Diligence Makes Perfect, and is organised by IMM International and supported by Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB).
