Intercontinental Hotels Group has opened its third Holiday Inn property in Bangkok – the Holiday Inn Bangkok Sukhumvit 22.

 

Metro Apartments Bank Place in Melbourne is nearing the end of a refurbishment process that began in September.

The revamp, due for completion in May, includes new kitchens and bathrooms in all apartments along with new lighting carpeting and furnishings.

Metro Hospitality Group chief executive George Bedwani reported strong occupancy at the property.

 

Oaks Hotels and Resorts has added a second UAE property to its portfolio as it forges ahead with its international expansion.

The announcement of Oaks Liwa Executive Suites, located in Abu Dhabi, follows recent news Oaks will open its fourth Melbourne property, Oaks on William, in August.

 

Garuda Indonesia has doubled its income year on year, rising from US$72.7 million in 2011 to US$145.4 million in 2012.

“We are seeing a rapid increase in passenger numbers due to the ongoing increase in flight frequencies, and the introduction of more convenient and direct services for the passengers in this region," Garuda Indonesia Australia vice president Bagus Y. Siregar said.

 

Singapore Airlines has launched a range of earlybird offers to India from its Australian ports. On sale until April 26, fares start from $1087 from a Darwin-Delhi return.

 

Low cost carrier Scoot has launched Nanjing, China as its 11th destination.

From June 3, the airline will operate three times weekly service between Singapore Changi international Airport and Nanjing Lukou International Airport, its fourth Chinese destination.

Introductory fares start from S$98.

 

Palmer Coolum Resort is offering conference organisers 15% discount on any conference booked with at least 10 accommodation rooms until the end of June.

Local events that do not require accommodation will receive a 5% discount until the same date.
