TFE Hotel’s has collected an ‘Outstanding Achievement Award,’ as a part of the 2014 Interactive Media Awards (IMAs) competition for tfehotels.com .

The one-stop booking portal offers a variety of well located, quality hotel accommodation across Australia, New Zealand and Europe to meet the varying needs of travellers.

The IMAs take place annually, but are judged on a quarterly basis, with a wide variety of categories segmented over the course of the year.  Nominations for the IMAs were accepted from around the world.

 

InterContinental Fiji has appointed a new executive chef, Nicolas de Visch, and director of dining and entertainment, Denny Akira Tanak.

The culinary veterans were welcomed in traditional Fijian style to the InterContinental Fiji team, heralding an exciting new era in culinary experiences at the resort.

Chef de Visch brings a fresh global perspective with 25 years kitchen experience throughout Europe, Middle East and Asia, with a Michelin star restaurant background, and having opened the 7 star luxury hotel Burj Al Arab at only 25.

Tanaka joins the InterContinental Fiji with 15 years of invaluable experience in restaurant operations in Asia and the Middle East. 

 

Tourism New Zealand's is targeting local universities to uncover potential conference opportunities for New Zealand.

The tourism board has held sessions at two of New Zealand's major universities – Victoria University and the University of Waikato – promoting the Conference Assistance Programme and un-tapped potential opportunities to bring international conferences to the country.
