The great thing about my job is… Working with very passionate people selling one of the world’s great cities.

The challenge for industry is… Constantly raising the bar and innovating in a very competitive global event environment.

My greatest achievement is… Punching well above my weight and convincing my wife to marry me!

The biggest thing in MICE this year will be… In Sydney, the gradual unveiling of the latest events infrastructure over the next 12 months – The Star’s Events Centre, the redevelopment plans for Four Points by Sheraton and the Royal Randwick and the big reveal of the SICEEP design and operator.

I try to relax by… Escaping the kids, heading to a café and speed reading the weekend paper.

I don’t understand why… Big Brother is back on TV.

Currently the album playing on my iPod is… Hah! Sadly Crowded House from the late 80’s, my 5-year-old son somehow wiped our account last week.

My favourite venue is… Anywhere serving a good breakfast.

I am scared to death of… Spiders, snakes and karaoke.

I can’t live without… My wife’s memory.

Blackberry or iPhone… iPhone. BB must be in a world of pain these days.

I really wish I had… Bought that Triumph Stag when I was 25, these days it’s SUVs and baby seats.

If I could invite four people to a dinner party, they’d be… Billy Connolly, Quentin Tarantino, Hillary Clinton and the Pope’s ex-butler.
