Emirates to operate first A380 to Amman
Emirates will operate a special one-off A380 service to Amman on 25 September, marking 30 years of commitment to Jordan. The airline’s flagship double-decker, with the ability to carry over 500 passengers at a time, will make history when it becomes the first-ever scheduled A380 service to Queen Alia International Airport, and it will also be the first time the A380 commercially operates to the Levant.
On 25 September, the Emirates A380 service will operate EK 901 and EK 902, departing Dubai at 0725hrs and arriving in Amman at 0930hrs. The flight will then depart Amman at 1300hrs arriving in Dubai at 1700hrs on the same day.

Emirates welcomes new pilots aboard for next adventure
Emirates, the global connector of people and places, will be holding pilot recruitment roadshow events in Sydney and Brisbane to invite Australians to join its world class team of pilots as part of its latest recruitment drive.
Emirates, which was named the World’s Best Airline at the 2016 Skytrax World Airline Awards, is searching for passionate and enthusiastic pilots, and will be holding pilot recruitment roadshow events on Monday 22nd August at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, Sydney and on Tuesday 23rd August at the Brisbane Marriott Hotel, Brisbane. Interested pilots can participate in the roadshows at 7pm on both days without any prior registration.
The roadshows offer the opportunity for interested pilots to learn more about the recruitment process, requirements for application and talk to Emirates’ staff about the benefits of living and working in Dubai.
Emirates currently has more than 1,550 Australians as part of their team, of which 309 are pilots, who undergo extensive and thorough training throughout their time at Emirates. As the world’s largest operator of the iconic A380 and the Boeing 777 aircraft, successful applicants are able to start their careers on Emirates’ modern fleet of over 250 wide-bodied aircraft.
