Dreamtime delegates arrive in Gold Coast

A group of Chinese business events planners have made their way to the Gold Coast where they are being shown the highlights of the local incentives and meetings industries.

Gold Coast Business Events successfully bid to host the Chinese delegation for the four-day educational program which follows Tourism Australia’s Dreamtime event, which took place in Adelaide last week.

The program was described as the “perfect showcase” for the Gold Coast’s mix of unique features by Gold Coast Business Events director Anna Case.

“These agents are responsible for determining the destination for groups out of China who are seeking an incredibly high standard of infrastructure, accommodation and unique activities and experiences,” she said.

“To win the opportunity to host this group of 21 key agents and 5 media representatives, we had to demonstrate that the Gold Coast has a world class offering. These corporate meetings typically are offered as an incentive to drive performance of employees in Chinese corporations so they are seeking dream destinations that will inspire achievement.

“We must be able to demonstrate just how the Gold Coast can deliver a memorable, one of a kind experience that will leave their employees motivated to achieve.”

The program includes a feature dinner combining an eclectic mix of arts, cuisine and entertainment in a meticulously crafted event at The Arts Centre Gold Coast precinct with a lakeside dinner under the stars with a line-up of local artists and entertainers with food provided by some of the Gold Coast’s best food trucks serving up local cuisine.
