EEAA shines at Global Exhibitions Day

EEAA’s Annual General Meeting and 2016 Leaders Forum, which ran 8-9 June in Melbourne, shone a bright light on the opportunities for the sector.

The growing reach of the EEAA was clear from the number of business and political leaders that joined both on and off-stage, including Senator Richard Colbeck; NSW Parliamentary Secretary, Jonathan O’Dea; and Chief Executive of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, James Pearson.

Also in attendance was Steve Whan, Manager at the Australian Chamber National Tourism Council; Bryce Prosser, Executive Director – Public Policy & Corporate Affairs, Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Matt Hingerty, Chairman of the Business Events Council of Australia.

EEAA chief executive, Joyce DiMascio, said of the event, “Our message about the importance of the work delivered by our sector has clearly cut-through. And while this is satisfying, it is not the time to take our foot off the pedal. We must continue to work together to ensure the impact of our voice becomes louder and more compelling.”

Delegates from around the world gathered to mark the inaugural Global Exhibitions Day, with EEAA leading the way by bringing the most influential leaders from the sector together to address the key issues which will influence our future.
