Hilton becomes first major hotel company to offer new booking experience for connecting rooms

For larger families, friend groups, wedding attendees and other travel parties, there have always been many benefits to staying in connecting guest rooms. However, the booking process has not always been seamless.

Well, Hilton has become the first major hotel company to introduce a booking experience that allows individuals to book and instantly confirm at least two connecting rooms.

This innovative technology – Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton – has started to roll out globally and will be available when booking on Hilton.com or through the Hilton Honors app at participating hotels within any of the portfolio’s 18 brands.

The concept was born out of extensive customer research and the clear desire for increased freedom and flexibility to customize guests’ travel spaces and experiences, according to Hilton’s senior vice president and commercial director for the Asia Pacific, Ben George.

“Over recent months, we’ve seen business start to return across various markets in Asia, with domestic leisure travellers being the first to plan their trips again as they look to reunite and reconnect with family and friends,” he said.

“With more than a century of welcoming guests through our doors, we’ve always recognised the importance of being able to confirm connecting rooms at the time of booking.

“We are delighted to now be able to bring this to life through Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton.

“As an industry-first, we are confident it will set Hilton’s hotels apart and create renewed confidence in the booking experience for our guests at a time when people are starting to once again be planning ahead for travel.”
