It’s all in the App – Serko’s first for online travel

With the latest mobile development from Serko, business travellers can now book and manage their expenses – not just travel expenses – all in the one app!

In an industry first, Serko, a leader in integrated travel and expense management applications, now enables its users to submit business expenses directly from their phones using Serko Mobile. Without having to revert to a laptop or desktop computer, Serko’s new app is uniquely designed to minimise information for mobile devices, making end-to-end travel easier at any stage of the booking process, from managing itineraries to reconciling expenses.

Unlike Serko’s previous iPhone and Android app’s, which allowed users to efficiently book business trips but required them to log into a computer to submit their expenses, the new functionality launched today means customers can benefit from the app at any time. From booking travel, managing itineraries and submitting expenses directly from Serko Mobile, the new app streamlines the process – and the experience – of booking trips for both on-the-go executives and corporate travellers.

“With the ability to book travel and submit expenses from within a single app we’ve effectively mobilised the entire business process, which represents a huge step forward for travellers,” said Darrin Grafton, Serko Chief Executive Officer.

For Serko, the days of laboriously coding company expenses and waiting for reimbursements are finally over, and as a result, the expense submission process is now incredibly simple. Grafton continued:

“With both travel and expense data flowing into our system we’ve been able to create that classic ‘one plus one equals three’ scenario. That means that organisations using Serko for travel and expense can easily see the true total cost of any given business trip and also have visibility of travel-related expenses that didn’t go through the managed channel, which are both extremely valuable to corporates.”
