Leaps and bounds for Kangaroo Island

Tourism Portfolio has announced the addition of the award-winning Southern Ocean Lodge of Kangaroo Island to its collection of world-class Australian properties.

Southern Ocean Lodge is perched on the south west coast of Kangaroo Island, 15km from the shores of mainland South Australia.

Accessed via a quick flight or ferry ride from Adelaide, the destination is idea for small-group incentives and events, with 21 luxury suites each featuring panoramic views of the great Southern Ocean, lavish lounge and sleeping areas, glass ensuites, and a private outdoor terrace.

Local produce and extensive South Australian wine selection are available from the lodge’s restaurant and bar, while rejuvenating takes place in The Southern Spa, which uses Kangaroo Island botanicals.

One third of the island is covered in native bushland, making it the idea place for treks offering first-hand encounters with native Australian wildlife.
