This hotel will literally overshadow all other Australian hotels.

The 79-storey Ritz-Carlton is set to become Australia’s tallest luxury hotel when the Far East Consortium starts construction later this year.

News reports claim the hotel on 250 Spencer Street will be 30 floors taller than the Sofitel, Melbourne’s current tallest hotel, and 20 floors taller than Australia’s current tallest hotel, Hilton Surfers on the Gold Coast, and four floors taller than the World Tower skyscraper in Sydney.
