SilverNeedle takes Sage brand to Brisbane

SilverNeedle Hospitality will open a hotel under its Sage brand as part of a major new development in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

Part of the Queens Arms project, the 4.5 star new build will be spread over four levels with 93 rooms. The hotel will feature complimentary wifi throughout along with minibar offerings and laundry services at regular street prices.

The adjoining pub, the “iconic” Queens Arms, will be revamped at the same time.

The project represents a collaboration between SilverNeedle and development firm Pacifica.

Pacifica managing director Russell McCart revealed the Sage brand had been selected after an extensive selection process.

“The team at SilverNeedle have an entrepreneur mind-set with a business philosophy and vision of understanding cohesive integration of smart-technology that can enhance accommodation experience, these fundamentals are best aligned with our vision for the future,” he said.

Meanwhile, SilverNeedle group area vice-president business development Tushar Raniga said the new hotel would provide” convenient” accommodation for both business and leisure travellers in Fortitude Valley.

Upon completion in Q2 of 2017, the hotel is expected to be valued at $35million.
