Sofitel Sydney gears up for opening

When Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour Hotel opens in less than 10-months, it plans on being quite the attraction as Sydney’s most anticipated hotel opening of 2017.

Located directly opposite Sydney’s brand new International Convention Centre, Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour Hotel will be ideal for guests to stay and dine during major events, boasting world-class meeting and event facilities in its own right.

With nine flexible meeting spaces, Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour Hotel is well-appointed to host any style of event, from haute couture fashion shows to gala dinners and large scale meetings or conferences.

Magnifique Ballroom features expansive 5-metre high ceilings with capacity for up to 450 guests. All of the meeting and conference rooms will be fitted with the latest audio visual technology and an in-house dedicated conferencing and events team.

Delegates and guests will be greeted on arrival with the hotel’s design feature by renowned Sydney architect, Richard Francis-Jones from Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp architects. Francis-Jones’ design draws inspiration from the area’s waterside heritage, reimagining iconic maritime motifs in a vibrant modern style in all 590 guestrooms of the $350m Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, including the hotels 35 enviable suites, boasting some of the best views in Sydney.

With the Parisian elegance of a French inspired Rotisserie and Grill, Atelier by Sofitel will be the hotel’s signature restaurant on level three, complete with a Champagne Bar set to become the hottest place in Sydney to savour fine French Champagne or a signature cocktail with a city skyline vista.

Le Rivage Bar on the fourth-floor will become an iconic backdrop in Sydney and an in-demand outdoor event space. An ideal place to network, sip cocktails and enjoy great food poolside with the city lights in the foreground, Le Rivage Bar will be emblematic of the hotel’s vibrancy.

For a more exclusive meeting, the exclusive Club Millesime Lounge, located at the very top of the hotel on level 35 will offer breathtaking views over Darling Harbour and the city – a showcase location for intimate and discreet meetings, complete with a private meeting room.
