Overnight, Apple unveiled the design of the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus at a conference in San Francisco.

These highly anticipated new models boast a range of exciting new features, and of course, the most advanced technology ever.

It’s sleek and stylish, and comes in that ultra-glam new Rose Gold colour, but there’s an entire spectrum of features that make this sleek new iPhone the perfect travel accessory.

Here are just a few reasons why the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are sure to be the perfect pocket companion for any modern traveller.

It’s strong and durable

Drop this phone off a cliff in the Andes while trying to take a selfie with Machu Picchu? No worries! The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have the strongest display of any smartphone, featuring Retina HD display made from Iron-X glass and 7000 series aluminium – the same grade used in the aerospace industry

It takes picture-perfect snaps

There’s no reason to invest in a bulky SLR when you have the new iPhone. It boasts a 50% better camera snapping Live Photos; 12-megapixel pics that reveal the instants just before and after the shot, so you experience the living memory of that moment you held up the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

It’s a win for snapchatters too, with a 5-megapixel internal camera featuring Retina Flash to capture selfies, day or night

It has better connectivity

The new iPhones feature faster Wi-Fi, so you can make better use of hotspots around the world, as well as supporting up to 23 4G LTE bands, which basically means you get primo worldwide roaming – stay connected, wherever you are in the world.

It’s all your travel devices in one

iPhones are extremely convenient travel buddies because of the array of functions supported by one, single device. Download buckets of handy travel apps, and make use of inbuilt Apple Maps to help even the most directionless tourist navigate any foreign land, as well as iBooks for reading on long flights and iPod, so you can take your favourite bands with you.
