Third World RV Conference lands in Melbourne

The third ever World RV Conference will be held at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne this Wednesday.

Hosted by the peak national body for the caravanning and camping industry, Caravan Industry Association of Australia, the conference hits Melbourne from February 25 to 27, and puts the industry in a global spotlight.

The Aussies will have the chance to showcase their own strengths and challenges, and to build bridges with industry leaders globally.

On Wednesday, over 300 delegates from 15 countries will arrive for the three-day conference featuring presentations from IBIS World Chairman, Phil Ruthven, noted international relations scholar Dr Keith Suter, and industry specific speakers.

“Since its inception in Dusseldorf in 2008, the World RV Conference has provided the RV industry with an opportunity to come together and discuss trends, challenges, and strategies to improve growth and international cooperation,” said Caravan Industry Association of Australia CEO, Stuart Lamont.

Lamont says Australia being chosen to host the 2015 World RV Conference is a testament to the strength and dynamism of the Australian caravanning and camping industry.

“We have delegates registered from China, the US, Canada, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Italy, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Ghana,” he added.

“They aren’t coming because it’s a quick trip. They are coming because they recognise the opportunity to get closer to the Australian RV industry and to learn more of its story from industry leaders, and their peers within the worldwide RV industry.”

The World RV Conference has been hosted previously in Dusseldorf (2008) and Florida (2013).
