The Gold Coast as a meeting destination is all the talk at the moment, with conference organisers seeing the appeal of the destination.

Nearly 81 percent of organisers rated their conference venue as ‘outstanding’ or ‘better than expected.

Gold Coast Business Events introduced a post conference survey in September last year seeking feedback from conference and meeting planners after their event. The survey revealed overwhelmingly positive results with 100 per cent of respondents indicating they planned to return to the beachside city.

According to Gold Coast Business Events Director, Anna Case, the results highlight the capabilities of the Gold Coast to deliver on all the big ticket items that result in a successful meeting.

“The post conference survey results reflect the quality and high standards of our meeting venues, as well as the impressive range of accommodation and specialist services,” Case said.

“Gold Coast Business Events, in collaboration with our industry membership, has an intimate understanding of what a destination needs to offer in terms of venues, experiences and service standards. This translates seamlessly into a successful and memorable conference that has both conference organisers and delegates inspired to return.”

Conference organisers also expressed their appreciation of the services and support of the Gold Coast Business Events team with 75 per cent saying that the assistance provided by Gold Coast Business Events was ‘outstanding’ or ‘better than expected.’

When asked to rate their overall impression of the Gold Coast as a conference destination, almost 70 per cent said ‘outstanding’ or ‘better than expected.’
