Lancemore Group enhances hotel portfolio

Australia's Lancemore Group continues to enhance its portfolio of boutique hotels with a series of refurbishments and acquisitions.

The group’s most recent addition to its range, The Alamanda in Palm Cove, has just refurbished its spa area to give it a more contemporary and crisp look, director of sales and marketing Chantelle Veness told Travel Today.

The property’s first winter season under Lancemore management has seen the property “exceed expectations”, she revealed.

“The figures are coming in well above what Angsana were doing last year,” she said. “It’s been great.”

Meanwhile, its Lindenderry property on the Mornington Peninsula has just emerged from a makeover, with the 40-room property “freshened up”.

“We wanted it to look modern but to still keep that country feel,” Veness said.

Located on 22 acres of land with its own vineyard, food and drink is a major focus for the property.

Lancemore also has plans to open its next new property in New South Wales’ Kangaroo Valley, in the style of the esteemed Wolgan Valley Resort but on a much smaller scale, Veness revealed.

“We’d like to say it will open next year but that’s probably ambitious,” she said.

The new property will have around 40 rooms with a day spa.

Meanwhile, the group has ventured into the world of white labels with its acquisition of a property at Sydney Airport which will be managed by Choice’s Quality brand.
