Adelaide warms up for Dreamtime 2015

More than 100 international incentive buyers from more than 10 markets will arrive in Adelaide this month for Dreamtime 2o15.

The biennial event will this time see Tourism Australia partner with the Adelaide Convention Bureau to place the spotlight on the Australian business events industry.

Adelaide will also have the opportunity to showcase its own developments in the sector, with an “unprecedented” level of investment in new and overhauled business and leisure infrastructure.
Tourism Australia managing director John O’Sullivan highlighted Australia’s strong position in the global business events industry.

“Globally, Australia continues to rate highly as a destination for business events, ranking either first or second, as a place offering world-class beauty and natural environments, local cuisine and wine, outstanding business events facilities, quality accommodation and exclusive experiences,” he said.

“We know that business events buyers are looking for the wow factor, and those attending Dreamtime 2015 will experience nothing less than the extraordinary, with delegates exploring locations such as Adelaide, the Barossa Valley and even beautiful Kangaroo Island. They’ll leave knowing why there’s nothing like Australia for an exceptional business event.”
Meanwhile, Adelaide Convention Bureau chief executive Damien Kitto said months of preparation had gone into this year’s event.

“There has never been a better time to highlight the myriad ways Adelaide and its surrounds will thrill not just Dreamtime buyers, but also and importantly, their delegates,” he continued.

“We are delighted to be welcoming Dreamtime guests to our home where they’ll be able to indulge in our enviable lifestyle, dine on our fresh food, drink our world renowned wines and enjoy the hospitality and unique experiences we offer. We are confident that the South Australian capital will truly impress.”

The five-day program will include two days in Adelaide, with the remainder spent on famils around the state.
