Destination Marketing Services hits the road

It is almost time for the Destination Marketing Services (DMS) network to hit the road for its 2016 DMS Connect Roadshow.

Its first port of call will be Sydney on Monday 7 March closely followed by Auckland, Melbourne, with its final day in Perth on Thursday 10 March.

The new roadshow format will allow those working in the business events sector and high-end leisure sector to have access and become acquainted with the company’s established network of DMCs from around the world.

This year boasts the largest number of DMCs attending the event, with over 40 countries on show, including new destinations such as The Baltic States and Philippines. Other popular destinations such as Southern and Eastern Africa, Japan, Peru and Hawaii will again be present. Accommodation will also be on show with Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces leading the way.

DMS will once again offer amazing travel prizes to incredible destinations such as Italy, South Africa and South America.

Hotel sponsors will include Furama Resort Danang, JW Marriott Seoul and SunLux Collection with airline sponsors confirmed as Asiana Airlines, Emirates, Hawaiian Airlines, LATAM Airlines and Philippine Airlines. Major sponsorship comes from South African Airways.

DMS managing director, Marissa Fernandez commented: “We are so appreciative that our sponsors see the value in these events and so generously contribute to the success of our roadshow”.

“Our DMCs are also interested to meet and hear the challenges you face selling their destination and will be here to assist you overcome these,” she added.
