iVvy set to shake up events scene

Hundreds of hotels and venues in Australia have already signed up to this “revolutionary” new tech.

Technology firm iVvy is set to revolutionise the events industry in Australia by centralising function spaces and group accommodations for the first time.

Launching the new functionality at a swanky event in Sydney earlier this week, iVvy said almost 1000 venues had already registered making it easier for event organisers to search, compare and book through the only central registry in the country.  Launch Photo 1

Over 150 of these venues offer instantaneous and live-booking options, it added.

“Marketplace will be the one-stop platform for all event needs from meetings to weddings. It allows planners to find a venue and book it in just 6 minutes – down from an average of 6 weeks it normally takes,” iVvy stated.

On the plus side for operators of hotels and venues, Marketplace provides the opportunity to increase bookings by publishing prices and availability to multiple online channels in real-time to offer access from anywhere in the world.

“Almost every other facet of travel and hospitality has real-time booking capabilities, so it is high time event planners get the same efficiencies,” iVvy ceo, Lauren Hall said at the launch.

“Over the last few years, we have worked with hundreds of event organisers and hotels to fine-tune the platform and get it right. It will be a staged approach to get everyone into live trading.”

“We are really confident that this will set the pace for the future of this Industry,” she said.

iVvy is currently working with hundreds of hotels in Australia, New Zealand and Europe to centralise their event functions, with brands including Vibe Hotels, Mantra, Adina, Peppers, Breakfree, Travelodge and Wyndham.

“iVvy Marketplace will offer never-before-seen efficiencies to the industry,” Hall continued.

“It will give customers power and control over their events and, venues the opportunity to connect directly and in real-time. In a hyper-connected digital age, we are enabling the industry to work more collaboratively, so consumers benefit from quicker access, process efficiencies and better experiences.”
