Ovolo unveils brand new event space
Ovolo has officially unveiled its brand new event space. The $20 million renovation of the heritage-listed space aims to unlock the true potential of the 100-year-old wharf.
The lobby and reception area of the previous hotel has been transformed into a high-end, modular event space that caters for events from 12 to 350 people.
Taking inspiration from the surrounding inner-city suburbs, the versatile event spaces have been affectionately nicknamed accordingly. “The Burbs”, made up of the “Darlo”, “Paddo” and “The Cross”, come complete with interchangeable walls, offering one large space or smaller combination. The biggest of the spaces, “Piper Room” which has the option to be combined with “The Burbs” to create one large 390m² internal space called “The Piper Rooms”, which can cater for up to 350 guests. (See Conference Kit for further information.)
Joanna Hillier, Conference & Events Sales Manager, Ovolo Woolloomooloo said, “We know that not all events are created equal and accept the challenge to make every event completely different. Whether it be for work or pleasure, a memorable location creates a memorable occasion. There are few areas in Sydney that rival our location and the versatility of our offering.”
For smaller guest lists, the hotel is dotted with other spaces including the “Glam-A-Rama” boardroom, B.I.G to get the creative juices flowing or the fit-for-a-rockstar “AC/DC” and “INXS” Ultraroo suites. With creativity and character to boot, these stunning private spaces truly have something for every occasion. (See Conference Kit for further information about the spaces.)
The effortless nature of the Ovolo offering continues into their event packages. State-of-the-art AV equipment and Wi-Fi are included with every booking, with event guests also receiving preferential bookings at the hotel, perfect for those visiting Sydney. When planning your event, there is the option to choose one of Ovolo’s carefully curated event packages or if you’re looking for something bespoke, the flexible events team are ready to bring your vision to life.
