Star Event Centre debuts Australian movie premiere

The Star Event Centre was centre stage for the Australian premiere of the much anticipated action sports film The Fourth Phase.

Presented by Red Bull Media House; the first film premiere featured on the Event Centre’s new 20m x 8m cinema screen and ultra-high-definition cinema projector.

The emotionally powerful and visually stunning film told the story of iconic snowboarder Travis Rice and his journey around the North pacific, witnessing firsthand the many moods of the North Pacific storm engine. Ahead of its Australian theatrical release, ticket holders and VIP attendees were given the exclusive opportunity to watch the film on the new technically advanced Harkness Cinevision screen and Dolby certified multi-zoned surround sound at the Event Centre.

The Star Sydney general manager of marketing & entertainment, Melinda Madigan, applauded the capabilities of the new cinema screen, which provides audiences with the best audio visual experience in Australia.

“The combination of our new Christie projector, the first projector of its kind capable of displaying premium 4k content for 2D and 3D films, the spectacular screen, and Dolby certified surround sound made the film premiere a completely immersive experience and ensured the film premiered to its full potential,” Madigan commented.

“Guests were blown away, as they were taken on Travis’ journey from untapped terrain in Wyoming’s backcountry, across the Pacific to the Japanese Alps, Russian volcanoes, and spectacularly remote areas of Alaska. The new technology delivered a brilliant audio visual experience for this film premiere.”
