The Association Specialists are expanding business with several new staff appointments.

Nell Harrison will return to the association management and professional conference organiser company in the capacity of chief operating officer in September this year.

Currently based in Canada, Harrison brings with her extensive international organisational and management experience with both associations and corporate conferences

Most recently she has been working with TAS to assist in the production of the successful Social Media and Critical Care 2015 Conference in Chicago, which attracted 2000 delegates.

“We are thrilled to have Nell back in the TAS family,” TAS’ md Francis Child said.

“As a leader in the associations and events management market, we pride ourselves on having excellent knowledge and experience in our industry and Nell possesses both of these, I know she will be an excellent asset to the team and our clients.”

Current coo, Julie Krieger is set to step into the new role of head of strategy. Krieger joined TAS in 2011 and has been a key member of the creative team that has driven the company’s recent expansion.

“Since joining TAS, Julie has become an integral part of the organisation. Her new role will see TAS increase its market offerings as we continue to dominate the Australian association management market,” Child added.

Other new staff additions include Francesca Roland, who joins the team as business development and communications specialist bringing public relations and social media expertise to the company.

The associations management team continues to go from strength to strength with Cindy Metzke, Ropeti Huntley and Zoe Ballarin also joining as client service managers.

The event management division is also thriving with Vanessa Pope joining the team in the role of event manager.

At present, TAS is producing over 20 major events in 2015 and more than 80 small scale events and meetings.

The expansion comes as TAS continues to win new client, including the Australian Institute of Geoscientists, Australian Refrigeration Association, Smart Grid Australia and the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia and New Zealand.
