Business Chicks hatch new plan

Tourism NT and Business Chicks have collaborated in a joint partnership to increase awareness of the region with a key target market responsible for purchasing leisure and business travel.

Business Chicks has been highlighted as Australia’s largest community for women, and facilitates around 90 events each year presenting high profile keynote speakers including Sir Richard Branson and Arianna Huffington.

Under the 12-month agreement, Tourism NT will be Business Chicks’ event partner at eight events across Australia with the first to be held in both Adelaide and Sydney featuring Sir Bob Geldof as guest speaker.

“Through our involvement, we will be able to show Business Chicks’ 35,000 members that they can do holidays, they can do conferences and incentives, they can do luxury, they can ‘Do the NT’ in all sorts of ways. In short, we’ll be raising awareness of the NT to a highly targeted audience of successful decision-makers, whose interest we would hope to convert in time to visiting the NT. Business Chicks will also support Tourism NT and its Business Events division, the NT Convention Bureau, with business development activities, including connection to its other partners,” Tourism NT’s executive director business & events, Suzanne Morgan said.

The partnership is expected to demonstrate the infrastructure in the NT and support women in business in the state at the same time.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Northern Territory. Our members hold responsibility for the purchasing decisions involved with both their leisure and business travel and are always looking for opportunities that are excitingly different, which the Northern Territory offers in abundance”, Business Chicks founder and ceo, Emma Isaacs said.

The joint venture also involves Tourism NT partnering with Business Chicks across their media platform and events throughout its term, and ranges from branding and advertising opportunities as well as business networking inclusions and membership discounts.
