The Grounds unveils new neighbouring venues

The long-awaited return of real social connection is finally here, and what better way to celebrate than with a glimpse at The Grounds’ newest locale.

Set to open its doors in 2022, The Grounds of South Eveleigh will sit at the heart of Sydney’s newest hotspot for all things arts, food, and culture.

It will boast two distinctly different spaces, presenting a yin and yang look at the cross-section of The Grounds’ famed portfolio: a state-of-the-art, industrial coffee roastery, The Grounds Coffee Roastery; and luxe event space, The Eveleigh.

Opening in early 2022, The Eveleigh event room will offer a swanky backdrop for life’s special moments, from weddings to special milestones.

Led by The Grounds’ passionate team of baristas, the Coffee Roastery will offer behind-the-scenes tours, coffee workshops and freshly roasted coffee beans for sale to everyone — from the everyday guest with a curiosity for coffee, to the wholesaler sourcing their favourite selections.

The Grounds of South Eveleigh is set to become a culture vultures magnet, thanks to Mirvac’s reimagining of the former Australian Technology Park.

The new venue is the result of a six-year collaboration between The Grounds and Mirvac, creating guest experiences that will complement the rich heritage of The Locomotive Workshop — a site that celebrates the golden era of revolution and industrious spirit that drove Australia forward.

Ramzey Choker, founder and director of The Grounds, said the group wanted to create something incredibly beautiful for the site and for Sydney.

“It’s not just a hospitality venue – it will be a space where time almost stands still,” he said.
